My name is Tina and I’m a 5’1” Nippo-Romana living in the Eternal City, devouring all that is delicious and succulent.
I am a sommelier – though sometimes it feels like I have the fancy silver necklace and diploma simply to certify that I am indeed a hopeless ubriacona – and a self-taught kitchen twirl-er. I adore my cucina, the leaky fridge, my insanely sharp Aritsugu knives from Kyoto, and the afternoon light that hits the rickety stove every day around 6pm.
Food is my passion. Cooking is my passion. Washing dishes is not. But I have a wonderful partner who helps me and is a meticulous type-A boy, which means our wine glasses are always sparkly.
I thank you, kind reader, for taking the time to peruse my aimless mutterings as I attempt to navigate through the glorious tummy tales of my life. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy a sharp, green-apple nose greco di tufo.
